I want to thrive, not just survive

Who I work with

Leaders struggling with stress/anxiety

Leaders are as susceptible to anxiety as anyone else. Almost every day we read a new article or research study showing stress and anxiety is rising. Who doesn’t feel overwhelmed or stretched thin sometimes? But when stress is relentless, it can lead to unhealthy levels of anxiety which is a serious problem.

I work with leaders who recognise their stress or anxiety is edging towards unhealthy, and they want to do something now. It may be a confidence issue, obsessive behaviours getting in the way, a strong desire for control, or constant stress that feels like it has a hold.

Leaders who want to have a better work/life balance

Leaving personal issues at home when you arrive at the office, or leaving work problems in the office when you arrive home, is difficult. Managing your thinking, gaining perspective, and building your sense of personal control are all skills that can be improved to maximise work/life balance.

Thriving is about feeling in control of and happy with every aspect of your life - your personal and your professional life. We acknowledge that there are stressful times in everyone’s life, but being able to recover quickly from those setbacks so you're able to thrive again as quickly as possible is within everyone’s reach.

Many senior leaders want to enjoy the mental stimulation within their career, understand the importance of connecting with family and friends, and still have some time to themselves where they can breathe. Yet many leaders I speak to feel they are uncomfortably stressed, and/or feeling guilty that they’re not giving their best to any of these important parts of their lives.

I work with leaders to maximise their work/life balance.

Why work with me?

If you identify with any of the “who I help” profiles, then The Thrive Programme will be life changing.

As a Licensed Thrive Consultant, my goal is to teach you how to thrive. I'm not a therapist. I'll be your personal Thrive coach.

I'm not going to teach you how to be a better communicator, negotiator, implementer, strategist, or innovator; although many of these will be natural by-products.

I am going to teach you how to manage your emotional and psychological foundations better. I'm going to teach you how to manage your thinking better. You will gain more insights into "you" than you thought possible. With these insights and the application of new skills, you won't be creating stress or anxiety.

Here’s why I believe you can’t afford NOT to do this:

  1. I’m going to help you genuinely understand how your mind works (the interactions between your beliefs, your thinking, your emotions, and your experiences) so you feel more in control and empowered.
  2. I'm going to provide you with insight into your beliefs and thinking.
  3. I'm going to be your partner/coach throughout the programme so I'll support you and hold you accountable to the goals you set yourself.
  4. I'm going to be available to you via email or phone in between sessions so you can ask a question that comes up for you at any time.
  5. I'm going to have you thriving by the end of the programme and give you everything you need to continue thriving beyond the programme.

My role is to offer you guidance, support, insight and the tools you need to lead a thriving life ... in every aspect.

If you'd like to know more about me, you can read my story.

The Thrive Programme

What is it and why does it work?

The Thrive Programme was developed in 2005 by Rob Kelly, a psychotherapist with over 25 years of clinical experience.

He identified the skills that thriving people have compared to non-thriving people. He did this research after working across a number of different therapies during his clinical experience.

Thousands of people have been through the programme. Some have overcome fears/symptoms that have held them back for years. Others have overcome severe stress and anxiety. Others have simply wanted to feel “alive” rather than feeling like their life is a treadmill with only short bouts of happiness.

The Thrive Programme works because it educates the individual about the “why”. It isn’t therapy, it’s educational.

What topics are covered in The Thrive Programme

The Thrive Programme is a structured training programme that helps you understand:

  • How stress, anxieties, and fears are created and how to overcome them

  • What makes you tick including what specific “thinking styles” you use every day

  • The ‘Psychological Foundations’ that dictate how you lead your life - your sense of how much control you believe you have in your life, and your self confidence and social confidence

  • How an excessive desire for control can increase your stress, anxiety and fears

  • How your self-confidence can be changed in just two weeks and what impact this has on your life

  • How your social anxiety can be reduced so you feel confident around others

How would we work together?

The Thrive Programme runs over 6 sessions. Each session is approximately 1 hour long. It can be face-to-face (an office in Bond St in the Sydney CBD or at your business premises) or via a secure and stable online application. This is often more convenient for clients who travel a lot.

I would provide you with comprehensive reading material to supplement our sessions. You can contact me in between sessions by phone or email with any questions that come up for you.

Working with someone on a 1:1 basis requires mutual respect and trust. There are two ways you can contact me to ask any questions:

  1. Schedule a free 15 minute initial conversation directly in my diary using the button below; or
  2. Phone me on +61 411 046 481 for a confidential chat.
